Introducing Andrew A. Baber, PA-C

We are proud to welcome the newest addition to our team of orthopedic specialists, Andrew Baber, PA-C!

Andrew A. Baber is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant. In 2020, he earned his master’s degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine’s MEDEX Northwest program. During his PA clinical training, Andrew pursed interests in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, and completed specialty clerkships in Alaska and and Crested Butte, CO.

Prior to becoming a PA, Andrew graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2011 after studying film and polar science at Montana State University-Bozeman and the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. For over the span of a decade, Andrew worked alongside scientists, naturalists, and wildlife photographers and filmmakers across the globe. He was a National Geographic photo expedition leader in the Canadian Arctic – photographing polar bears and beluga whales in the frigid waters of Hudson Bay – and worked alongside BBC and Planet Earth filmmakers in settings spanning from cloud forests of the Amazon River headwaters to desert valleys of Antarctica.

Andrew discovered his interest in the field of medicine after training to become a wilderness EMT and serving as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in rural, northern Peru. Eventually, Andrew was drawn to Alaska by the unparalleled wilderness and an opportunity to deliver the highest level of orthopedic care to patients from across our unique state.  Call 907-771-3500 today to schedule your appointment with PA Baber.
